In case you didn’t already know, our good friends Akudama have been playing every Tuesday this month at Pianos on Ludlow St. They even shot this video at Union Square to help promote the shows. Anyway, we joined them two nights ago for their Future Show – each week’s show has a different theme – and seriously got into the spirit. Jay was an androgynous space alien; Mike was a nuclear blast survivor who only survived because he wore his underwear on top of his pants; Jason was a futuristic fashionista sporting a tinfoil bowtie and headband; And I wore my 3007 sunglasses that I got in Times Square 998 years in the future.
